beatriz sá

Hey there, I'm a digital enthusiast with a passion for coding, gaming, and everything in between. I lived in a small town near the capital city in Portugal. Having only farm animals as neighbours, it would take a lot of “annoying the parents” to gather with friends all the time. Therefore, I played many games in my free time, and from then on, I realised that games were what I wanted to do when I grew up.
With a background in computer science, I've embraced the title of game developer, constantly improving my skills in software development and art, blending my passion for technology with my creativity. Whether I'm developing digital games, dabbling in 3D modeling, or unleashing my artistic talents on canvas, I find joy in every pixel and brushstroke.
Beyond the digital realm, I'm an animal enthusiast, particularly drawn to the charm of cats, frogs, raccons and ducks. I like to do 100 different types of hobbies mostly related to art and sports, and I'm always on the lookout for new hobbies to dive into.

industry experience

During my 1.5-year of experience at Light Brick Studio, I contributed to two unreleased projects, specializing in gameplay and tool programming. Additionally, I explored facets of level design, UX/UI, and animations, improving my skills into the multifaceted world of game development. Collaborating with diverse teams allowed me to appreciate the synergy among professionals with different skill sets.
Now, I'm thrilled to embark on a new chapter as a Junior Game Engineer at SYBO, where I'll be part of the Subway Surfers team, ready to push the boundaries of gaming innovation and eager to make my mark on this game development journey!

organizations

I proudly serve as an organizer for Women in Games Denmark, a vibrant community dedicated to empowering women, gender minorities, and supporters within the Danish gaming industry. Our mission is to cultivate a safe, culturally diverse, and inclusive space for growth, fostering connections, sharing experiences, and having fun through a series of engaging events. It's a privilege to contribute to such an impactful initiative that promotes equality and diversity in our industry.
Additionally, I've recently taken on the role of organizer for Nordic Game Jam, where my primary focus lies in managing sponsorships. It's an exciting opportunity to play a pivotal role in supporting one of the largest and most renowned game jam events in the Nordic region, facilitating creativity, collaboration, and innovation within our community.
